{"id":2572,"date":"2019-05-24T12:14:04","date_gmt":"2019-05-24T10:14:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/prime1.inleed.net\/~avabrava\/the-crafoord-foundation\/det-har-ar-crafoordska-stiftelsen\/"},"modified":"2025-06-09T11:05:02","modified_gmt":"2025-06-09T09:05:02","slug":"this-is-the-crafoord-foundation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.crafoord.se\/en\/the-crafoord-foundation\/this-is-the-crafoord-foundation\/","title":{"rendered":"This is the Crafoord foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">                                                                                                                                          <em>The aim of the Crafoord foundation is to<\/em>:                                                                                                                <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;&#8230;without a view to making a profit for a given individual person or or organisation, to promote scientific education and research, as well as care, upbringing and education of children and young people<\/em> .<em>&#8220;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;In addition, but only to an extent that does not contravene the Foundation&#8217;s main aims as described above, the Foundation may also promote charitable , social, artistic, sporting or other purposes for the public good&#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Holger Crafoord established the Crafoord Foundation in 1980 and made an initial donation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to further donations by Anna-Greta and Holger Crafoord and to an appreciation in the value of the original donation, by December 31st, 2024 the foundation&#8217;s capital had risen to SEK 5 300 million (market value).
