In 1980, Holger Crafoord donated SEK 3 million to a foundation whose aim is to:

without a view to making a profit for a given individual person or organization, promote scientific training and research and also the care, upbringing and education of children and young people. Moreover, but only insofar as not to contravene the main purposes of the Foundation as specified above, the Foundation may also promote charitable, social, artistic, sporting or other purposes of public benefit...

Annual Report

Report of the board of trustees

During the year, the board of trustees consisted of Ebba Fischer, chairwoman, and the following members: Göran Berglund, Göran Bexell, Peter Idsäter to and including June 30, 2010, Margareta Nilsson, Hans Pålsson, Michael Sohlman, Pär Omling and Lennart Nilsson, the chief executive. Since July 1, 2010 is also Ragnar Lindqvist member of the board.

During the year, the board held four meetings at which minutes were taken. In addition, there were a number of meetings with the economics committee of the Foundation and with its grants committee and its scientific council.

Net profit for the year amounts to SEK 67 737 717 (previous year 123 398 114).
